Mosquito Shield Franchise Corporation was founded in North Attleboro, MA in 2001. Since then, the company has spent countless hours researching the science behind the life cycle of the mosquito, tested various application methods and products, and studied numerous protocols. During early testing, we found that applying standard control materials (with water) didn’t deliver measurable and consistent results. After further research, we developed a patent-pending barrier spray. Our spray, regardless of when started, lasts for weeks and grows in strength as the season progresses. Our Mosquito Protection Blend (MPB) works to mask your CO2 and then repels mosquitoes away from your property using natural oils. Combining our MPB and select control materials, along with FlexBlend technology, has put us at the forefront of residential mosquito control.

Mosquito Shield of Southeastern PA was founded in 2013 after we learned of an opportunity to bring our valuable and high-quality Mosquito spray service to this local community. Our mosquito experience in Pennsylvania was limited to a vague awareness of the potential to transmit vector-borne diseases, like West Nile or Eastern Equine Encephalitis (EEE). But a more immediate reality was that mosquitoes played a significant role in limiting the use of our property. If only there was a way for residents to be able to enjoy their beautiful backyard without having to resort to candles, sticky repellents, and swirly coils.

While the Pennsylvania DEP works yearly with local governments to fund programs that use, “a combination of education, surveillance, source reduction, and environmentally responsible insecticides to reduce risk of WNV“, our own experience showed us that there was still a need for Mosquito Shield in Pennsylvania. After extensive research and training, we emerged in the summer of 2013 as the first Pennsylvania Mosquito Shield franchise.

Since our inception, Mosquito Shield of Southeastern PA has been met with an overwhelmingly positive reception. Armed with our professional training and field expertise provided by our parent company, we have focused on introducing our service to Chester, Delaware, Philadelphia, and parts of Bucks and Montgomery County. Our main goal has always been to exceed customer expectations and provide superlative customer service. Our small company has doubled in size over the years, and we have been consistently met with reactions that boil down to the same sentiment—we are helping people change the way they use their backyards.
